Dr. Shah has always been interested in technology and its implications for dentistry. When she opened Tara Dental Group PLLC in Bellaire TX, she knew she wanted to be at the forefront of dental technology.
Virtual reality (VR) has the ability to change the way dentists treat patients who have dental anxiety, fear of the dentist, or special needs that keep them from seeking dental treatment as often as they might need. Dr. Shah is working with a VR company to develop custom software that allows his patients to feel like they’re somewhere calm – immersing themselves into scenery that makes them feel more relaxed.
